4563.0. "Vacation home for a cat needed." by RUTLND::RMAXFIELD () Thu Apr 18 1991 11:06
    I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I need to
    start somewhere;

    My sister is going on a 5-week vacation this summer (July/August
    time-frame, her husband's company is shutting down for the summer)
    and she needs to find a home to for her cat for that time.
    I'd take it in a minute if my housemate weren't allergic; it's
    impossible for me to ask him to be sick for 5 weeks. My sister
    doesn't want to board the cat, understandably (it's not the
    best environment for that long a time). I haven't discussed details with
    her, so I don't know if she's willing to pay someone to care for it (of
    course she'd pay for food and litter), but I think something could be
    arranged. Chico is an adult female, spayed, affectionate and
    well-behaved (she doesn't chew furniture or eat plants), and is used to
    going outdoors, in a quiet residential neighborhood, little traffic.
    Oh, she's also excellent with children, as my 5 year old niece
    scoops her up and carries her around all the time, without a scratch.

    If anybody in southern NH/northeastern MA might be interested in caring
    for a cat for a while this summer, please send me mail. I'd like to
    be able to present my sister with some options, if other
    friends or family can't take care of Chico.

    Thanks so much.

    Richard
