| | Yes, more than likely this spraying behaviour will stop once Digger is
"fixed". Some cats can stay in heat for about two weeks but it can
differ. Hang on if you can, it isn't the best thing to do to fix them
while they are in heat. Consult your vet and maybe you can set up an
appt. for when she might be coming out of heat and before she goes back
    in again.

| 4382.2 | she may go back into heat fairly soon | TYGON::WILDE | why am I not yet a dragon? | Wed Feb 13 1991 16:54 | 5 |
| | move fast, however, because a cat will often go back into heat fairly quickly
after going out of heat. A visit to the vet is the best way to figure out
how, when, where, etc.

| | After "experiencing" Halie in heat, I can't understand why anyone
would purposely keep a non-breeder cat whole ;-) What a pain!!
And Halie isn't even a siamese - She yells, but she doesn't
scream. The most annoying habit was spraying.

Anyway - it varies how long a cat stays in heat and how frequently
they come into heat. I agree with the previous noter who advised
you to move fast when she goes out of heat.

    Good luck

| | BTW - the first paragraph of my reply was just a general comment and
wasn't intended as a criticism of the basenoter at all.

| | Thanks.. She was okay for about two weeks and then it's she came
back in. I will get everything ready for the friends of animals
    today and consult my vet.

Thanks for the information. - I agree with note .3 how can any one
    stand them without being fixed.

    Thanks again.

| | As a follow on:

I have a 7 month old British Shorthair. I haven't seen any signs of
"heat" yet (thank goodness). All my other dealings have been with
"moggies" and they have always been spot on 6 months and get wisked
away. This new young lady will not be spay until I've shown her a few
times and if I can find a suitable husband (she's silver tabby). Or her
calling drives us crazy (husband + 3 cats).
