    Me and my Husband have adopted a new cat.  She is having
    a problem in the last fews days with hacking. 
    
    She is short haired so I didn't think that they got fur balls.
    
    Last night she threw up ...so I thought was ever was caught was
    gone, but this morning she started again.

	Hi Donna, Even tho she's short haired, she can still have hairball problems...3 of mine are shorthaired, I give them Laxatone or Petromalt every few weeks or so, it can't do any harm. Sherry

	I too think it's hairballs. Rici is short-haired, and sometimes he hacks something awful...

	Where did you get her? Do you know any of her history? It may be hairballs or it may be something else. Nancy

	It's a good idea to take any new cat into the vet to be checked over and get shots, etc. Sounds like time to do that, although very possibly it is hairballs.
