Has anyone been through this???
I have a 3 year old white angora cat. Over the summer we got
a puppy. Nilla didn't get along with the pup that well so we
kept them separated.
This past week we found the pup a nice home ( he was too much
for the apartment) But Nilla is still scared to come out to the
livingroom (thats where the pup was kept) I bring her out and
she fights me all the way and the minute I put her down she runs
back down the hallway. I even tried feeding her in the livingroom
trying to get her used to being in there.
How long will it take before my kitten will come back to the
"land of the living". I hate seeing her hiding under the bed
all the time.
Any suggestion on how to coax her out?

I'm sure the living room still smells like puppy to
her!! Maybe a good airing out will help some...Or
entice her to chase a toy into the living room, maybe
she be in it before she notices...It will just take
time, cats have a strong sense of smell...

Try the feeding, but don't make her give up her security totally
to go eat on the other side of the room or anything. Try right
over the doorway, so she can face the room where she THINKS the
doggie still lives, and she can watch to see if he is going to come
toward her.... gradually move her further into the room to eat and
she will see for herself ther is NO puppy there! Good idea about
the scent.... cats have a good sense of dogs... she probably smells
him... try the rug freshner, or odor type sprays especially in the
entryway. Gain her confidence back...

My cats go crazy over it. Try putting it near the entrance to the
room.
