    On Tuesday night, my two kittens had a fight.
    
    The cause? I was chopping something up - gave Rosie her share, then
    gave Jimmy his (well actually I had to take it out of his mouth and
    chop it up for him so that he wouldn't choke!). Jimmy then licked up
    the crumbs off the table and Rosie went mad because she thought he was
    getting more than she was. She's too small to jump on the table yet, so 
    she clawed at the legs and mewed frantically. Then, when Jim jumped
    down, jealous little Rosie pounced on him.
    
    What was this delicacy?
    
    Was it Chocolate? No!
    
    Was it Cheese? No, not even cheese!
    
    It was their worm tablets!! They were fighting over their worm tablets!
    
    Which brings me to my question. Can we (humans) catch worms from cats?
    My cousin said she had to take tablets when the dog had them, you see,
    and I was wondering.

	YES!!! Humans can catch worms from animals/cats. The treatment for humans has not advanced as quickly as for cats--my sister didn't enjoy it one bit. I have had many cats arrive at my door with worms but have never caught any from them, at least not yet. The three and me.

	People can catch ringworms from any animal, but I'm not sure about other kinds, like roundworm. I asked my vet about roundworms when Meg had them, especially since she had me worming all the cats cause they used the same litter box. I asked if I could catch them and she said "Why? Do you use the same box as the cats??"...

	Um....Ringworm is NOT a worm. Its a Fungal infection and it IS contagious from cats to humans and vice versa as Pam Matsis can tell you. Nancy DC

	And unless you make it a habit to consume either fleas or tapeworm segments, you are probably save from getting tapes from your cat as well. :^) Jo
