    Tufts University New England Veterinary Medical Center is having an
    open house September 8.  There are tours of the research and treatment
    facilities along with pet contests, games and rides for the kids.  This
    is the finest facility of it's kind east of Syracuse NY.  It is at the
    Grafton Ma. campus just East of 140 on rt 30.  Call 509-839-5395 for
    details and directions.  

    Tufts has the Stanley O. Travis Memorial Fund for the Care of Stray
    and Indigent Animals (pets) which will be selling a cookbook for $10.00
    if you are interested.  This fund is supported wholly by the donations
    of generous friends and the efforts of the  staff, clinicians and
    students of Tufts New England Veterinary Medical Center.  

    For those of you who have ever had to deal with a unfamiliar injured
    animal on the highway, can't attend but would like to contribute
    simply send mail and I will make a list to contact you when the copies
    are available to me (first or second week in September).  

    I'll include a compressed list of recipes to whet you appetite:
