When one looks at the events of the mid-east these days its not
hard to feel that ignorant and primitive thinking is plentylful.
In fact it's usually to close to home. One of my neighbors cats
was hit by a car, my wife say the cat in the road and brought it
to the nearest home to inquire if the cat was theirs. A woman said
that yes it was their cat and in fact it had just turned 1year old.
To bad she said, I always wondered if it was playing to close to
the road. She was sad to see the cat dead but said not to worry
since the mother of the cat was about to have another litter.
Next day another neighbors dog was hit by a car. The reason I found
out about this was that the dog she was walking looked a little
different and was indeed the next day replacement dog. I had mentioned
to these new neighbors that this was a busy street and that we also
had a leash law in town and she said not to worry since this dog
was going to obedience school and would not be as stupid as the
other dog was to be hit. Who is stupid here!
This same week my wife speaking to the vet was asked to volunteer
to pick up some three day old kittens that were left in a box at
Bates farm in Carlisle with a note saying 'here are your new kittens,
ha ha'. Kittens are now being hand fed, what a way to start ones
life.
What a way to start the week, I think I'll spend the rest of the
week in the celar thinking about the good old nuclear threat days
before Bush!

Forgot to mention about Sunday when I went to a 5&10cent store
(not to mention the guilty store name) and asked the store
manager why there was no water in many of the gerbil cages and
why all of the birds had no or cesspool type water not to mention
lack of seed. He informed me that sundays are a short handed day
and that all of the animals were attended to on saturday. He also
said that the gerbils water was missing because the bottles leak
after filling and that both birds and animals could go a day without
food or water no problem. Great I said, we'll have to make you work
here without food/water for a day to get confirmation of your theory.
He said that he would try to get water into the cages before they
left for the day. Oh well just another call to the MSPCA to start
the week off.

Do call the SPCA. When I lived in Cambridge Mass, a certain
chain store was constantly in trouble for this kind of thing, and the
SPCA did manage to get them to shape up. I'll bet it's the same store.

Re - .1 - Thanks for caring enough to try to help those poor
birds & gerbels. At least they have you looking out for them.
Re - .2 - If it's the same store, the SPCA had better close them
down!!!!!!!
GGGGRRRRRRRRR!
