    "I am a grown female Siamix.  I've been lost for some time, now,
    but I found a human who was kind enough to take me in, temporarily,
    even though her other cat doesn't like me much.  I showed up at
    Nelda's door three weeks ago.  She feeds me regularly and well and 
    dreads not finding me a home.  Nelda has opened her home to me for
    now, because, like the other humans in this notesfile, she is a
    true friend of the feline population.  I suspect that my days are
    numbered with her, and I'm scared I'll have to go to the Humane
    Society.

    "My memory of my past is a secret.  No one will ever really know
    where I come from, who loved me, who my enemies were.  Even with
    this shroud of mystery around me, I hope you will accept me for
    who I am.  I cannot tell whether I am spayed or vaccinated, it would
    be up to my new human family to work out those details.  I do have
    an understanding of timetables for feeding, so I'll be around when

    "I am a very affectionate cat.  I suppose I would get along with
    another cat if we were compatible, but I tend to be territorial.
    I will probably demand pretty exclusive access to a very warm and 
    affectionate human in a very safe and permanent home.  I really
    like to be indoors, but I'll stay nearby if left outside a home
    where I'm loved and fed.

    I hope you don't mind but I would like to know where you were wandering
    (area) and what is your sex and coloring?  Another difficult question
    is age.  Can you give an approximate??

    Hi, friend!  I am female, and I'm in the Silicon Valley in California.
    I'm cream-colored Siamese with obvious Calico markings.  I'm definitely
    over 1 year, but probably under 5.  The noter entering this
    information thinks that I might have gotten lost in the Earthquake
    last month.  Nelda, my temporary salvation, has had notes up all
    over the neighborhood for the last 3 weeks looking for my true home.  
    She is willing to drive me anywhere in the Bay Area once a good home 
    has been established for me.  She has even named me B.C.

    Have you checked with your local vets or shelters - you may want
    to put up a found notice in their facilities.
    
    Maybe if you give the two of them a chance they might end up getting
    along quite well - sounds like you have just one kittie - and when
    you have just one 2 is a piece of cake.  There is always an adjustment
    period to take into consideration and you've already been caring
    for her for 3 weeks ...........

    Thanks for the suggestions, I'll pass them along to the temporary
    mom.  I gathered that she is unwilling to have more than 1 cat,
    hence this note.
    
    If you know of someone who is interested, please reply as soon as
