| | Elaine,

Thanks for posting that, it has taken me a few hours to be able to
respond and even now, I've got tears in my eyes trying to respond. It
brought back all the pain of losing Fire, and the feelings I had at the
    time.

But he will always be alive in my memory, and in the beauty of his
kittens and grandkittens and their offspring.

| | I'm going to pass that thought on to my friend Jan who is feeling
the still-fresh pain of losing her 15 year old feline family member
    yesterday morning.

Linda ..who will always treasure the memories

| | I saw a great Calvin & Hobbes last week. They're sitting under
a tree and Calvin says "you know, somethimes the world seems like
a pretty mean place." Hobbes replies, "That's why animals are so
    soft and huggy."
Next frame, Calvin and Hobbs are hugging and Calvin says "Yeah..."

    Ain't it the truth...........(thank God)

| | re: all

I guess it's like having children - they are on loan to their
parents for a undetermined amount of time; hours, weeks, months,
years..... I think that life is enjoying what you have when you
have it and not spending your time wishing for what you don't have.
