| | Mike -
I'm so sorry about Misty. It sounds like she had a very pleasant
life with you, even tho it was shorter than it should have been.
I think your idea of sprinkling her ashes in the back yard is very
    appropriate.
I've added Misty's name to the Silver Lining Memorial list and
her memory will live on with the work this gift will help to
pay for. I hope it helps a bit.
      Nancy DC

| | Condolences. As one who has recently suffered a loss (note
2843), I know how this can hit you. When a cat gets to be a teen-
ager, you kind of expect bad news some day/year. But with a young 3 or
4 year old, bad news is unexpected. So much wonderful vigorous activity
cut short. I hope you will recover and there will be a Misty II
in your home as there will be a Copy II in mine next spring. - Chris

| | I feel for you. I sometimes think about if one of my beauties would
suddenly leave me. I don't know how I would handle it.

I sincerely hope you do find a new friend to fill the void in your
    life. I did

| | I am very sorry to hear about Misty - I know just how shattered
    you must be feeling.
I know it seems an awful idea to even think of getting another cat
at this stage, but it really does help - even though you'll never
replace Misty, you'll be helping another cat.

    yours in sympathy,
    Julie (and Oliver)

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words. They really
have helped. We are planning to get another cat(s) at some
time in the future. Our vet has recommended that we wait two
months before bringing another cat into the house. Apparently
FIP can hang around for a while.

    Once again, thanks.

    Mike
