| I tried to ask permission of the author of the note but have not
gotten any reply for a few days so I am putting the note in without
permission. I have edited the name just to give a thin cover.
I know you can go to the conference and find that out anyways
though. I also don't know if this is for real so be aware.
Are there such houses in MA?

| It is a joke - two of my writers sent it to me - I found it
very offensive and not close to being funny. I wouldn't mind
in the least if it were deleted. Sorry for the 'flame', but
it's a bit much and not humerous at all.

I just wanted to find out if this was real. I am glad to find out
that it was just a joke.

| I agree, it was a pretty sick "joke". As for where are the moderators, one
is on vacation and the other (me) spent most of Friday between fire-fighting
and meetings and I didn't make it all the way though the day's new
notes. However, had I seen the base note, it would have been returned to
the author. We've had these kind of notes in the file in the past, and
we've returned them to the author asking that they be deleted
immediately because they are offensive. And so that folks realize that
this isn't a debatable issue or that we are joking, I'd just like to
add that one person that kept putting this type of trash in the
conference found himself and his supervisor in a meeting with
personnel. That person was a contract employee and almost lost his
contract.
So, folks, if you see something that offends you and the moderators
don't seem to be doing anything about it, let us know. We might have
missed it, or we might just be so busy that we haven't been able to pop
into the file, and we'd appreciate knowing if there are problems before
they escalate into something bigger.
