Does anyone out there have a kitty who likes to eat grass? Puffin
LOVES IT! She is an indoor kitty and I wonder if she might have
a vitamin deficiency or something. Occasionally she comes out in
the yard with me and just chows away. I'm beginning to think she's
part cow! ;-)

P.S. I've tried the indoor stuff that you can buy at pet stores
but she doesn't seem to like that as much.

Panther must be part cow too!
She loves to chow down on grass when she is out on the leash. Maybe
she just likes the chlorphyll (SP?) in it, (you know to make her breath
kissing sweet?)
I don't think it's a vitimin deficency, Both my girls are on science
diet and take one pet tab per day. (My vet recommends them, sort of
like a One-A-day for cats.
Maybe she is part Angus, (all black cattle) but I never saw one so
small!! ;-)

Ah yes, the grazing furry foursome. They all love to eat grass
and even Tymothee is doing it. They always look so disappointed
in the winter when the grass is dead or covered up with snow.

Molly LOVES to eat grass -and spends most of her idle time doing
just that. Her brother, Iago, chomps down a bit too, though not
to the extent Molly does -she's wild for the stuff. She's 7 years
old and has been doing it most of her life. She's in excellent
health, so I don't think it's particularly harmful....

I've been told they do it to aid in their digestion. I always
found that with my old lady (since deceased) that it just made her
come in and throw up, but she sure did love it. She always went
for the real looooong pieces too which she never managed to chew
properly. Tried the indoor stuff, but it didn't meet her fancy!
I now have two indoor boys who have not tasted it and are in FINE
health without it.
