What a neat idea!! Our two oldest were used to being able
to sit on a window sill as our former apartment was in an
old house...but we're in a fairly new building now that has
no window sills....so unless the window is open, they can't
    	peek outside.

| | I've seen them in all of the larger pet stores around here (Boston Pet
Supply, Debby's Pet Land, Dr. Pet), and are a lot cheaper in the stores
    than the catalogues.

| 2459.4 | Great invention | TIDES::CIOFFI |  | Mon May 15 1989 10:30 | 19 |
| | Hi,

I got one of the window perches from "Harriet Carter", a mail order
everything type catalog. It cost me $7.98 plus S&H. I will bring
in the info for you to order if you would like. Jasper just LOVES
his windon perch in my bedroom. The window is 3 stories off the
ground so he's at high tree level with all the birds. He had no
trouble adapting to it. He just lounges
there as often as he likes. He even uses it as a great napping
area (guess he gets tired of hoping to catch a bird). I leave the
window open at night now and he hops up EARLY am (about 5:00) to
bird watch. He used to try and open the shade and the window when
I kept it closed. It's much quieter to leave the window open!!

It was the best investment I ever made, as he used to be soooo
uncomfortable perching on the thin sill.

| | Does anyone know of a UK supplier. We have sash windows which just
have a ledge running round them, so the cats sit on top of the nearest
available piece of furniture and I'm fed up with washing paw prints
off the top of the (white) TV casing :-)

    Thanks in advance.
