                  FOR BLACK AND WHITE PATROL CATS !!!!
                        
    
    THIS IS A PURE FUN NOTE.
    
    I want to know if anyone else out there has a black and white patrol
    cat with definate law enforcement tendencies.
    
    Let me give you a little back ground as this is my first written
    contribution to the feline file.  We are a family of four, Me (Sue),
    my husband (Jerry), Panther (all black, she looks just like one),
    and Spot (Don't tell her I said so but Spot wears a perfect bikini,
    a whit bra and white panties in the appropriate places) our black
    and white patrol cat.
    
    Spot has taken it upon herself to be our Law enforcement officer
    and house detective.  Whenever Panther is doing something that she
    shouldn't be, (Like sitting on the stove - a designated cat free
    zone) Spot turns on her siren and runs to find either me or Jerry.
    I don't know what she does when we're not home.  She doesn't appear
    to be issuing tickets, at least we haven't found any!!!
    
    Also, we all sleep in one room (of course), and when everyone is
    settled in bed, Spot counts noses (to make sure that all of us are
    in bed,) then she goes on Patrol.  She trots all thru the house
    muttering dire threats to any possible intruders.  When she is
    satisified that all is as it should be, she returns to the bedroom
    to sleep.
    
    If anyone, including Panther, has to get up during the night Spot
    will accompany the night roamer, obviously on guard duty.
    
    So crooks BEWARE our -< CAT 54 >- a black and white patrol cat is
    always on duty!!!
    
    I've never seen such a faithful little cat !

    P.S. Any other Patrol cats out there?  I think Spot might like to
    join the union!!

    One of my best friends has a large black and white long-hair she
    has had for many years (about 17 I would guess). He's a real
    character ...always guaranteed to make you laugh with his antics
    ...but, for heaven's sake! ...don't let him hear you. We musn't
    damage his dignity!  
    
    As large as Pishew (sp?) is, I've heard stories that his dad was
    twice as large.  A huge black and white cat that 'cruised' the
    local neighborhood. His name was 'Adam 12'....

    Molly is my black-and-white guardcat.  When she hears
    anything going on outside, her hackles rise up, she growls,
    she runs to the window and looks exactly like a Pointer.  This usually
    wakes up the dog who at some point may or may not begin barking.
    
    Molly is also the kitty who got plastered in the wall a year ago.
    As a consequence of that experience, once she has alerted the household
    to possible aliens, she then runs and  hides in the food closet.
    
    Well, her heart is in the right place.  It's just that her courage
    needs to hide out near the food, I guess.  :-)

    First off..........Welcome to Feline Notes, Sue.
    
    I work with Sue and have already heard the wondrous stories of Panther
    and Spot.  There definitely will be more posted.....
    
    Let's see now.   do my kitties get to join the CAT 54 SOCIETY??
    
    WHITE LIGHTNING all white.  Will definitely not let any STRANGER pet her
    or hurt BLACK THUNDER.
    
    BLACK THUNDER all black.  Definitely checks each person at the door.
    She is the one that checks out each and every noise in the evening
    both inside and outside the house.
    
    DEJAVU  white with black and some orange spots.  She is the one
    that checks out all the *spirits*.  No bug is safe in the house
    while Deja is around.
                                                     
    Black Thunder also checks the door after me to make sure I am not
    being followed.
    
    Sue, do my kittys qualify????

    P.S.  My dog Keisha sleeps through everything.  She figures the
    cats can handle it.

    To sandi (2420.3) haven't you ever heard of patrol cats traveling
    in pairs?  Every cat knows that their is safety in numbers, that
    way you can keep an eye on the competition, and make darn sure that
    that other cat doesn't get more food than you do!!!?
    
    Also would love to hear about how the guard cat got plastered inthe
    wall !!!? My cats have never been plastered, (unless you count the
    time Panther discovered Kaula sombrero's with cream, talk about
    a happy camper!!!)
