The Cranston RI show was a 12-Ring "last show of the season"
battle. We were all so exhausted Saturday night we couldn't
even move, let alone go out to eat & shop - the six rings
were lined along one side of the length of the arena - I
must have walked a million miles in the 12 hours I was there
on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday.
Anyhoo, Holly clerked on Sunday - I'm not sure if she clerked on
Saturday also - she was a busy camper - she only had 2 minutes
to have us sing happy birthday when her Mom brought out her cake!
We had 200 cats each day - Saturday night I think it was 8 pm
before we finished (??) - Sunday, after the Best of Best, I don't
even know what time it was - we had supper about 9ish when we
stopped on the road - left to drive home to NH about 10:30 -
got home around 1ish am - got to bed around 2:30 ish.....zzzzzzzzz
I'm sure that for the next show Holly attends she will bring
lots of bubbly, right Hol?????

| Thank you everyone for the congrats. Needless to say, I wasn't on
cloud nine Saturday night, I was on cloud ninety nine!!! I was SO
thrilled that PITA finally got her best cat that she needed.
Now, as for the champagne, we tried!! We looked for a package store,
but couldn't find one. We found out later that we were in a dry town.
Oh well, I promise we'll have it at the first show in September, OK???
As for the seacoast cat show, when is it? I may be there, but not with
PITA. It'll probably be with Seasea. It all depends on when the show
is and whether she's pregnant or nursing kittens.
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, too. This truely is a special
birthday. PITA gave me the best present that I could ask for!!

| Oh, Okay, you really were writing it. I know the feeling of getting
in at 1:30 am. We drove back from L.A. last night and I am
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ today too. But, wasn't it worth it to not get any
sleep? After all, had you stayed home, you would have had to clean
out the pool, or some other such task.
We'll let Holly slide for now, given the circumstances.

Wellllllllllll. Saturday wasn't one of Katenka's best days -
she sure made up for it on Sunday - 4 Bests, a 3rd, and of
course one we won't discuss !! Silly judge has no taste!
My baby girl went out in style (a note will follow in the
near future - not now.)

you got that note in before I got mine in! No fair!!!
Yes, it was a tiring weekend. I clerked both saturday and sunday. I
ended up leaving earlier than most people both days because my cats
were finished early.
Glad I got off the hook for the champagne. I'll definitely bring it to
the seacoast show and to the first show in september (which ever one
that is).

| Boy that IS tiring! I had lots of help on Saturday, but was all
by myself on Sunday. I don't know how folks do shows by themselves
with more than one cat!
Dundee was a real doll this weekend. He squirmed for the first
ring then behaved like a real champ in the next 11. The only
problems I had with him were when he'd decided that he wanted
to stay in the cage and sleep. I'd pick him up and then try to
gather up my stuff and he'd run up and over my shoulder and try
to get back into the cage! Most of the time I ended up heading
toward the ring hunched over trying to convince Dundee to stay
on my back until we got to the ring. What a sight I must have
been.
Dundee took a 7th best alter in a shorthair ring and a 10th
best alter in an allbreed ring. He also took Best shorthair
champion AND best champion in an all breed ring. He finaled in
7 out of 12 rings and took three best of breed ribbons! If
I've figured things out right he earned 36 points towards his
grand this weekend. I think I need 80 and a top 5 to make
grand. Well, he'll have 36 as soon as I get a clerical error
about his coloring straightened out with CFF.
We had a great time this weekend - Happy Birthday HOLLY!!
and congrats to everyone! (Cin - I LOVE Tiger Lilly)

Nancy, that's wonderful about Dundee - looks like you have a famous
cat on your hands! Congrats to both of you! Will we see you in
Worcester on the 21st?
I plan to show my Ragdolls in the Framingham CFF show and am counting
on all you show people for help!!

I saw you real quickly on Saturday as I was running by with a cat
in my hand, I think....and then I didn't see you again!!! Wish
you could have come over and looked at Tiger Lily, Stripees sister
who finaled in 11 out of 12 rings and took Best of the Best Kitten
over the weekend.
cin...who missed talking to you but was showing 5 cats in 4 different
classes!!

| Congrats to Tiger Lily! Looks like you produce winners, Cin. I
keep trying to get Karen to show Bailey but she is determined to
keep that gorgeous face hidden inside the house. I can't even get
her to show him just once!!
Knew you had your hands full at the show so I didn't push for idle
chit chat. Glad to hear your kitties are doing so well on the show
scene. See you in Worcester (wish I could show my Ragdolls there;
the location is perfect!).

| Congratulations everyone! That was one show I hated to miss. With
so many Noters showing and attending it was bound to be a fun one
....and I just knew E.T. was up to some mischief! :^)
I was a home on 'marewatch' and I didn't dare leave for that long.
My American Miniature mare was under strict orders to deliver on
Saturday morning at 9 am. ...at 10 a.m. yesterday (Tuesday) Hobby
Horse's Miss Onyx gave birth to a 23" black filly ...mom and babe are
doing great. Needless to say, I overlooked 'Shadow's' failure to
comply with my 'scheduling request'! :^).
It's great that so many of our Noters are getting out there and
starting to show ....and that we're getting a chance to put faces
to some of our Feliner friends. From the show results it looks as
though our new exhibitors are having fun ...and success.
Keep up the good work!!
