| | Gee, sounds like you need a trip to the vet.

| | My idea: Call the vet up now and say you need to bring Payday
in ASAP. It's best to bring her in when the lip is
              irritated and swollen.

| | And let us know what the vet says and how Payday is doing, okay?

| | FYI - Kim told me that she has already taken Payday to the vet and
they are stumped as to what is causing the problem too. I think she's
just looking for a little more information in case someone else has
had a kitty with a similar problem.

| | Is Kim near someplace like Tufts, where she could bring in the Puss and
have some superdoc look at it?

| | My guess is allergy too. Do you feed her anything different around
the time the lip acts up?

| | We are a couple of hours away from UC Davis Veterinary Teaching
School. She may be able to take Payday there.

Another thought... may be Rodent Ulcer.

| | Oh, she's near me then. Maybe try my vet, Dr. Walker at the Altos
Animal Hospital in Los Altos. He is a general vet, but really
plugged into specialists. Perhaps he could help. It's certainly
    closer than Davis.

| | No, I don't change her food very often. (she's probably bored of
the same ole' stuff, poor kitty).
What was that you said, Jo? "Rodent" ulcer. What the heck is that?
I have been putting some anti-biotic on the lip, namely neo-sporin.
The only problem is that she starts licking and licking and this
    irritates the lip even more.

    Sighhhhh,

| | I seem to recall a discussion about Rodent Ulcer in this conference.
This is where I first heard of it. Don't remember much about it
other than it can occur on the face. There may be a keyword for
    it.
