    Lovey is gone. I said goodbye to her yesterday as she gave
    in to her struggle against the illness which finally claimed her.
    Lovey is the little show Birman (note 2.250) that came to us from
    Utah last November and brought great joy and pleasure to us. It
    is difficult to accept that she had to leave us so soon. Her sweet
    nature had already made her a very important part of our family
    and she will be missed.
    
    I'd like to give a special thank you to those few Feline::Noters
    who knew about Lovey's ordeal and have offered me support and
    advice throughout this difficult time. It was a great comfort to
    have the assurance that we were doing all that could be done and
    to know that all those well-wishes were there.
    
    Lovey was fighting the effects of Hemobartonella, a 'blood parasite'
    which causes anemia. Unfortunately, this was secondary to another,
    more critical, illness which she was unable to beat. A post mortem
    will be done today and we are still waiting results from Tufts for
    a final diagnosis. We don't know yet if we are dealing with something
    that might be a threat to our other cats. We wait ...and hope...
    
    At least Lovey's ordeal is over. She will be buried in the back
    of our garden next to TiJai.  TiJai, take good care of your little
    kitty-sister. She's one of the special ones.
    
    Rest in peace, sweet loves....

	Oh, Linda, I never wear makeup to work and the one day I do...... I am so sorry. My heart aches for you. You know I am here if you need to talk. Lovey was very lucky to be owned and loved by such wonderful people as you and Bob. I have her photos to cherish as well as happy memories of my visit to your home and the Rhode Island show. 	With a heavy heart, I would like to say how sorry I am. Linda you were so kind and thoughtful when Holly and Michael lost their blue point Himalayian kitten, they would like to say, "I'm sorry also."
