I picked up some literature and sample can & dry food of C/D at
the vet last night. BTW - I called them yesterday to speak to the
vet I like. She called me back in less than 10 mins. and we spoke
for almost 20 mins. Dr. LeVan .. what a sweetheart. I ask her
to put her name on my cats records and from now on when there is
a problem and either cat has to go in SHE will be their doctor.
After reviewing Cocoa's records she agreed fully with Dr. Nelson
that Cocoa needed special attention (meaning C/D for now and maybe
K/D later). His kidney problem bothered her more than the high
    glucose.

Guess what? BOTH the furfaces loved the C/D. I'm calling Erickson's
Feed Store today to see if they still sell C/D. Nancy did you say
something about a store in Cambridge or Belmont that sells C/D with
a % off if you have a vet's prescription or note? Dr. LeVan said
through the hospital it would cost $29.49/case for canned food plus
$15.32/10 lb. bag of dried. GUESS WHAT!!!!! Just talked again
with Dr. LeVan and she said the dry food alone or canned food alone
was all my cats needed. So a 10 lb bag would last quite awhile
and Cocoa would get *ALL* the nutrients needed. Will probably pick
up a case of canned and maybe twice a week give that along with
    the dry. "SOUNDS GOOD, huh?"

Oh --- I feel so-o-o-o-o-o much better. Told her I'd give all the
old supermarket food to my son for his cats. She laughed and said,
"Please throw away the Tender Vittles or his cats will get sick
    later maybe."

Sorry to ramble on and on but am so excited for my furfaces. God
love all of you who've let me cry on your shoulder. I love you
    all.

Cocoa goes back for a fasting blood chemical on Jan. 9th. Keep
your fingers crossed that things are better or he'll have to go
    on K/D with NO protein.

| Hey, we're not a notesfile...we're FAMILY! If you can't rattle
on to us, than what's the world coming to?? Heck, I can't believe
you guys listen to (read to??) all my Meg-and-kitten stories. We
might have different opinions, but what family doesn't??

Keep us posted on Cocoa's progress and I hope all continues to go
    well for you both!
