Here's what the ad in the Globe read:

"Cats remember. Cats communicate. Cats learn. And cats think...as
every devoted cat-owner knows. And cats can make known their thoughts
and feelings to anyone who cares enough to observe their behavior...and
    knows what to look for.

Here, in an absolutely fascinating book, the author shares his insights
and observations and most delightful anecdotes from over four decades
of cat-watching. Behind their charming antics, he reveals, cats
are surprisingly similar to us..and are fully capable of experiencing
all the emotions we are. As proff, he shares example after example
of intelligent behavior he has personally observed in the many cats
he and his family have lived with over the years.

WHAT IS YOUR CAT TRYING TO TELL YOU?

You'll find out all about how cats communicte, from the "silent
meow" and subtle body movements to the three distintive "meow" sounds
cats make and the occasions for each...and about how they lear,
both from older cats and from humans. Along the way, many long-held
myths about cats get debunked and the record set straight--cats
can be trained, and they do give and receive affection."

    Sorry this was so long...

| | I'm definately interested in getting this book since my two kids talk
so much with me. We always have conversations together and I
basically understand most of it, but there are those times when I
just don't know what the heck their talking about!

What is the procedure for ordering? Just write a letter requesting
this book with check enclosed? I'm always skeptical doing this,
paying before receiving but it will be worth it. By the way,
has anyone tried to look for it in bookstores? Just curious.

Thanks again for the info!! Now if they would only publish
one for cats "How To Understand Humans"!!!!!
