Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help me?
Last night after eating a usual dinner of Whiskas tinned
food and crunchy Go-cat biscuits mixed in, one of our
cats Dinky lay down for a snooze on the sofa and
settled down for the night.
However, at 2.00 in the morning she woke me up crying
and nudging at the duvet trying to get into bed with
us. Her feet were freezing although the house is
centrally heated and lovely and warm, so I snuggled
her up (on TOP of the duvet rather than under it)
and put my arm around her to keep her warm.
When Tim, my boyfriend, cuddled up too with Dinky
in the middle she seemed happier and fell asleep.
Trouble is.....when we got up this morning we found
that she had been VERY sick all over the living room
carpet and that was probably the reason she came
crying to us during the night.
I can't see if she has eaten anything funny and we
left her wrapped in a cat blanket on our bed this
morning to get some sleep.
I'm sure she's not seriously ill but can anyone give
me some general advice on how to look after her - she
wouldn't eat her breakfast this morning and her poor
little paws were still freezing cold when we left for
work.
Our other cat (recently adopted from being a battered
stray but cleaned and tidied by the vet over 2 weeks
ago) comes in for meals and a doze but is out all night.
Dinky does miss Robinson when he's not indoors but I
don't think it was just getting upset that caused her to
be sick.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Sandy,

Basingstoke, U.K.)

This might be off the wall ..... but ..... check if her gums
around her teeth are light pink to white instead of a rich
colored pink. Maybe she ate something that could be causing
mild internal bleeding which would cause her gums to lose
color and consequently cause bad circulation wherein her
paw pads would feel cold.
If so ................ get her to a vet!

Cats are so good at hiding their discomfort. In general, it's
always a good idea to take them to a vet if you notice any
lack of appetite or behavior changes of this type. Better
safe than sorry.

Hi, I'm with them! When we feel ill, we get pale...so do the cats
and dogs...Cats have a funny system, and can vomit at will, she
could just have been too full and relieved herself. However, she
should not have *cold* feet...
Get her to the veterinarian and let us know how she is! Please...

If you don't have time to go to the vet right away.....At least
call them and see if it's anything that needs immediate attention!
Keep us informed....
