|  |     In humans, at least, lymph nodes can stay permanently enlarged,
    even after the infection is gone.

|  |     Oh those darn lymph nodes.!! I suffer from allergies (not to animals)
    and my glads and lymph nodes are swollen half the time. If I get
    examined by a new doctor he always goes, Oh oh. Then we have to
    start from the beginning, and they agree they stay swollen most
    of the time. 
    
    What is the prognosis?

|  |     Mee too, Barbara - I used to think was "sick" - but the swelling
    just indicates that my allergies are very active!  What a pain..
