| | The _best_, most realistic, and most feline cat in newspaper strips
is Motley, in a strip called _Wright Angles_. Neither Boston paper,
nor _The Middlesex News_ carries it, and I have it clipped and sent
so that I won't miss it.

If you're lucky enough to have _Wright Angles_ in your newspaper,
    treasure your luck.

| | I don't remember what the name of the cartoon was, but I read it
last week and LOVED IT! It was a picture of a woman sitting in
an easychair, eating chocolate chip cookies, and a cat sitting next
to her looking up at her.

The caption was "Chocolate chip cookies are to humans like catnip
    is to cats."

| | I saw that one too and thought it was GREAT!! If you trade M&Ms
for the chocolate chip cookies, that would be ME sitting in that
    chair!

That was in the cartoon "Kit 'n' Carlyle" (Kit is the woman and Carlyle
    is the cat).
RE "Wright Angles" (.1) -- "Wright Angles" is in the Nashua Sunday
Telegraph (but not the daily edition).
A good book of cat cartoons is called "Cats Cats Cats." It contains
cartoons of the type that appear in The New Yorker (in fact, I think
the majority of them are *from* The New Yorker). Unfortunately, I
can't remember the author/editor, but you can find it in a bookstore's
Humor section. I gave a copy to my mom for Mother's Day. Should've
gotten one for myself... (there's one for dogs, too: "Dogs Dogs
Dogs" is the title, oddly enough)

| 1394.5 | Bogart is good too | CHEFS::TUDORK | Isis & Tarot - the moggie mafia | Thu May 26 1988 10:23 | 7 |
| | Garfield is (of course) the greatest, but for UK readers try Bogart.
He is (or was) on the back of the 'Today' newspaper.

I've got several clippings but unfortunately they're not the caption
type so the joke wouldn't work if I told it here.

    Highly recommended
