    lick pictures.  I cannot leave any pictures out because she loves to
    lick them and put her teeth into them.  Well wait til she sees pictures

Not when I developed my own photos!  There are, however, some chemicals
that "smell" attractive to cats (much in the same way that anti-freeze
does) and that are definitely toxic if taken in significant amounts.
Keep the photos away from furfaces.

    used contained animal fat which is was why some animals are attracted
    to the scent...

    I just found a film that I had lost that had quite a few pictures
    of Tabbatha and Silver on it.  I will get extra copies and I would
    be glad to send them out.  Some of the pictures are going to come
    out REALLY cute.  I also would LOVE to see some pictures of some

    I just received the pictures of Fran's brood -- what GORGEOUS cats!
    Jemma in particular is spectacular, but they are all beeaaauutttiful.
    (Sweetie and Holly have sent out their pix to about half the list;
    they have been slow about getting to the photo store to get the
    copies for the remainder, but hang in there.)

    say they had pretty babies!
    The pictures you sent me of your adorable furfaces are along the
    back of my desk here with my collection of cat flicks, next to a
    photo that Pete and I had taken with a an honest to goodness "lion"

    The pix of RumTum Tugger and McCafferty showed up in my mail today.
    What sweeties.  What a lovely thing to find in the mailbox.  Sweetie
    and Holly are sending me out to the photo store this instant (this
    is late lunch time), to get their other photos and send them off.
    

    Trouble says that since I now have a decent camera she will consent

    i just received karen's pictures of holly and sweetie and their
    friend next door.  what a bunch of cuties.  they are just like verne
    and shirl when it comes to keepin each other clean.  i have two
    rolls of film that i have to get developed.  i would send out their
    young kittie pictures which are the cutest things, but there not
    that recent.  anyways...my dad (who hated cats before he met mine)
    has been taking photos of them ever since we came for a visit a
    week ago.  i'm sure he's better about developing film than i am,
    so hopefully you will get them in a week or so.  the mail has been
    very well lately in here.  karen shipped the photos out to me on
    the 7th, monday and i just received them this morning.  3 days for
    calif. to mass. not bad eh?  lookin forward to more., and will send
    mine out soon.  thanks  karen!

    I must agree!  What cuties!  And the neighbor's aren't bad, either!
    My new camera equipment was stolen Christmas day (a long story...),
    so I've got to re-learn how to take pics with my old sturdy manual
    camera.  I've got a couple rolls in for developing, so pics will
    be on the way next week (I hope!).  And Karen, I love those towels!

    I agree too! Adorable.  Mandy had her photo session - she's is just
    waiting for mom to get off her butt and have them developed!  She
    will be sending them out within the next two weeks.  I bet you all
    can't wait - well that's what Mandy thinks anyways.

    I've been trying to get pictures of Lightning and DejaVu but my
    camera is on the BLITZ.  I am going to try to get it working this

    This business of Smaug's pictures not arriving leads me to wonder
    if others are going astray.  So far Sweetie and Holly have received
    photos from Fran and Erin;  anybody else sent them photos (besides
    Trouble's, which are in transit)?

    after careful dileration, holly and sweetie have been taken down
    to make room for Mandy, who has become the kittie of the week in
    our department.  i have been taking pride in putting up an empty
    frame next to the office calendar with various pictures of my babes,
    and as all of yours come in, yours too.  mandy is beautiful.  verne
    and shirl's mom was a calico, how they turned out all white is beyond
    me but you will see for yourself.  i'm copying four photos of them
    (couldn't decide on one) and will send them out to all of you. 
    
    karen, you sent me your a while ago so i sent you a photocopy of
    some earlier photos of them when they were six weeks old.  more
    will come of them at 8 to 9 months old but i just wanted you to
    know we haven't forgotten you!

    If Mandy could blush - she probably would be right now.  We always tell
    her she is beautiful but she thinks it's just mom and dad prejudice..
    so when she hears it from some one else...well...shucks! She'll be
    delighted to know she has the honor of being kitty of the week.

    I received Mandy's picture yesterday.  WHAT A CUTIE!!  I have always
    loved calico cats (then again, I love any kind of cat :-)).  She
    looks like she's posing for the picture.
    
    I received Sweetie and my personal colleague, Holly's picture last
    week.  Karen, let me tell you that I am VERY proud to be named after
    such a BEAUTIFUL cat.  Looking at her coloring, it looks like she
    may have some main coon in her.  
    
    I'm going to send out Tabbatha and Silver's pictures soon.  I just
    have to wait to get them back from the printer.  They are absolutely
    beautiful (Of course, this is a mother's unbiased opinion).

    I just received photos of Tasha Marie and Mandy...They're both so
    adorable!  I know I've been promising to get some pictures out there
    but my work schedule keeps me on the road about 80% of the time,
    but I PROMISE to send them out this week!  After all, Honey and

    I just got back from Australia (and Honolulu...) to be greeted by
    pictures of T.K., Bandit, Cinamon, Trouble, Verne and Shirl.  It's 
    the only way to go thru one's mail!  They're all so cute...but who
    gets Kitty of the Week??  Well....I think my two, cause I missed them!!

    What a riot!  That is what he looks like!  Just imagine him with
    a top hat and a monocle...hee hee.  Must be that fine Himalayan
    breeding.

    Yeah, Aja had her pix done this weekend... Whatta twit!
    
    Usually when I take her out to the yard she sticks close by me,
    rolling in the grass, chasing bugs and acorns until she settles
    down on her rock. I figured when she finally calmed down I'd
    blow off a roll on her...
    
    But Nooooo, not Saturday. I said "Aj, wanna go out?" and she comes
    a-running and making this little 'meow of ecstacy'. Out the door
    and ZOOOOOOOM, off to the woods!!! This apparently is real fun for
    her because it took me close to an hour to catch her and bring her
    back to the yard...
    
    Then she wouldn't let me get close enough to use a 50mm lens so
    I grabbed a 300 that would let me fill the frame from about 20'.
    She finally sat down in some brush and actually posed, but everytime
    I'd get ready to shoot she'd move....
    
    I finally got the roll done and sent it right out for processing;
    should have it Friday.

    After taking a bunch of my three 'kids' to show the distant family,
    I discovered something that will be my standard from now on when
    shooting cats.  It is a color print film rated at ASA (ISO) 3200!!!
    That way, if the little beggars move (which they will), it won't
    make any difference.  Of course, now I'll have to find a coal mine
    to use as a studio...  8')

    Ages ago, when Honey was a Glamour Kitty and posed for professional
    photogs who were amazed at how poseable and cute he was.  He's done
    a couple cat-alogue "shoots" and his "pawtrait" has won numerous
    awards.  Now, then, turn Mom loose with the state of the art in
    cameras, and the little brat turns into the most difficult animal
    on Earth to photograph.  Even with my autofocus, motor driven, turbo
    charged camera, I can't get a good picture of him.  Sigh...and he
    charges such high fees these days.  Geezzzeeee...I guess he only
    poses for Hassleblads.

    i have no idea what kind of cats they are either.  i was hoping
    that when some people got pics of them, they would tell me.  however,
    i haven't been that lucky.  when they were kitties and i took them
    to the vet for their first set of shots some lady told me that they
    were special because of their "pink ears" and if they could hear,
    they were worth even more.  i know that blue eyed white kitties
    are sometimes deaf, but these green eyed babies can hear a pin drop.
    shirl is kinda boney i think.  if verne would leave her food alone
    for once, maybe she wouldn't be so skinney.  nevertheless, they
    are cute eh?  and where did cin come from?

    I sent out the negatives for reprinting last weekend and should
    have them by Sunday or Monday. Aja made me send the originals to
    Karen because she (Aja) wanted to strut her stuff in front  of
    TK and Bandit.

    T.K. and Bandit have been arguing all weekend about who gets
    to have Aja.  I told them that neither one of them has the
    equipment to have Aja but they didn't believe me!!!
    
    Oh, whats a mother to do???  T.K. was trying to kill his tail in
    the tub this morning in a fit of anger!  There was this very
    loud banging coming from my bathroom and when I pulled aside
    the curtain T.K. was rolling around in the tub like a seal with
    his tail in a deathgrip.  Bandit decided to be a little smarter
    so he decided to wait until the shower was on before he got
    in and tried to drown himself!  Boy was I surprised to open my
    eyes and find Bandit taking a shower with  me!!  He decided agains
    drowning once the full force of the water hit him though.  
    
    Well, I guess I'll just not interfere with Aja and the battle
    of the lovers!

    Well, pictures will be out shortly.  we just had a "photo session"
    with Tabbatha, Silver, Micki, and Snooks.  I think I got some good
    shots.  We finished the roll, and it is going to the photo center
    tomorrow. (would have gone today, except that it is sitting on the
    counter at my house).
    
    So, you'll all be getting pictures of my little purr pots shortly.

    well i'll be damned.  i just got some pics of aja and WOW, does
    she look like shirl.  i have to admit i put the two photos together
    and ya, had a hard time telling them apart.  and i thought i had
    problems with verne (who's grandpa has renamed to Vernin) and shirl
    lookin so alike.  geeesh.
    
    send some leftover pics to Ad, you should receive them soon.  the
    mail seems to be getting better but they are coming from Maynard
    MA USA, sssssssssssoooooooooooooo....

    Shirl and Verne have made it across the pond..! What a cute little
    gang...The photo in the cupboard surely gives a hint of what they're
    like in day to day life ;-). I wonder though how you keep them apart!
    I really love the naughty look of Verne, but somehow Shirl looks
    like she can keep up with him! They have a really beautiful coat
    too, I don't recall seeing such a pure color before. Beautiful kitties
    indeed!
    
    I managed to catch Chanel (who I thought to be the most difficult)
    rather neatly on a few photo's now...Omar doesn't really want to
    pose unless he's sure the picture will fail ;-). I'll be ordering
    some extra series around next week, so I can start sending around.

    Well seems someone got caught red handed tampering with mail.
    Also I've recovered some of the lost pictures of smaug.
    I'll be sending a set to Karen kolling first (god knows she's waited
    long eanough). If anyone would like a set drop me a message at

    Honey and Chauncey have arrived, and they're cute indeed Mary!
    Chauncey's color is a bit like Omar but they have totally different
    faces despite the fact they both have a 'short nose' (or whatever
    that is called in English :-)) but you'll see that soon I hope 
    (I'll be submitting the pictures to Snailmail when I get back from
    a short vacation, a week after next monday. Pls bear with me I've
    got to sort out my negatives!) Cute pictures of both of them BTW.
    It looks Chauncey is looking a bit amazed by the trick you're pulling
    on him :-). Honey's a beauty!

    S&H are beginning to lose track... we think the only folks we haven't
    sent pix to are Aja, Ad's kids, and Holly-the-person's furfaces.
    Is that right?  Pix will be on the way to those folks this week, and we
    are looking forward to seeing theirs.
               
    

    Nope.  I picures of your two wonderful furfaces, Holly and Sweetie.
    In fact, they are the first ones I got.  All the kids love them
    and I feel auful that I haven't sent out any yet.  As soon as I
    get the copies back, they will go out.  I PROMISE!

    Lovely, lovely, wonderful Smaug pix appeared in my mailbox today,
    along with his gorgeous friend Oliver's.  What darling babies! 
    I want to give Smaug a big hug.  He reminds me a lot of Sweetie,
    with his sweet little face.  
    

    
    ... received nothing but Trouble in today's mail. Indeed, that cat
    has trouble written all over it's face!
    
    Also received first pic of a human! Don't these other cats have

    The human friends are either behind the camera or dancing around
    like crazy people out of camera range waving catnip mice in the air
    to get kitty to look in the right direction.
                    

    Touey's pictures arrived today!  He looks so healthy, Maureen. 
    So glossy furred and plump, with lovely little tufts of fur in his
    ears like Holly-the-cat.  I'd like to give him a big hug.
    
    Pix of S&H went in the mail to Touey, Edd and Ad this morning.
    

    Thanks for telling me where this file is, Karen, and thanks for
    your compliments on Touey (I'm such a proud Mom).  I have more copies
    of Touey's pics if anyone would like them (Haven't had a chance
    to read all 91 previous replies -- does this mean I need 80 more
    copies made?  Egad...)  If you'd like to exchange, my mailstop is
    PKO2-1/K63, but please send me mail first in case I don't have time
    to get into NOTES (Our system is slow).
