| | Well, I had a sort of unusual thing happen mwith my Misha that cost
me a fortune in Vet bills. A few months back Misha came pounding
out of the kitchen growling and foaming at the mouth. I had never
seen this happen before and as she has had her shots I ruled out
rabies. But her behavior at that moment had all the earmarks of
a deranged feline as I couldn't get near her as she hissed growled
    and spat.
I hurried to the phone and called the vet who told me to bring her
down immediatly. And as it was a Sunday this was gonna cost extra
for an emergency visit. I finally managed to catch Misha and stuff
    her into her carrier.
Ehen I got to the vets she had calmed down and quit spitting. But
upon examination the vet was baffled as Misha's tongue was a dark
purple. Never had the vet heard of or seen anything so bazarr. And
immediatly bagan running a series of tests. It was while I was
at home waiting for the vets call that I discovered the source of
Misha's malady. In the kitchen I found a glass of Welches grape
juice on the counter that I hadn't finished at breakfast. I called
the vet who said that yes indeed, it could have been a bad a reaction
to a bad taste in her mouth which would account for all the spitting.
The end result? Misha came home that afternoon purring after all
the attention. I had a bill for $125 for vet care - all to learn
    that Misha hates grapes!!!!!!!

| | I'm not laughing ..... only because DejaVu pulled the same thing
on me. I had sprayed her with flea spray and when I saw her a little
while later she was foaming at the mouth and acting very strange.

After talking to the vet, I found out that some cats are allergic
to flea sprays and can only tolerate flea powders.

Of course I was imagining all sorts of things that DejaVu could
have `possibly' gotten into and really thought she was `dying'.

    Typical BRAT routine.

I'm confused. Foaming at the mouth and acting very strange is
not BRAT behavior. Surely you don't imply that she was 'faking'
this? Allergic reaction to pesticides is serious.

Never use Hartz Blockaid on your pets, there have been hundreds
