I will be interested to know if the MSPCA still has a
shelter in the Worcester area as they have closed several
shelters across the state in the past few years.
(They also closed the beautiful Macomber farm in Framingham as
well. I could never understand that move. Mr. Macomber
donated the property to the MSPCA at his death for the education
of the public towards animals. The MSPCA proceeded to build
at least three very fine barns, fill it with farm animals, and
then not be able to maintain it financially. Then it was closed
last year and the animals moved out - amd now the property
sits idle. What a great place to put a horse retirement farm similar
to the one on the North Shore (?).
Now the property will either revert back to Macomber heirs or
be sold to either Framingham State College for the
college expansion or to developers for housing sites).
Right now in the Framingham area there are no MSPCA shelters.
Where are the shelters located in Massachusetts these days?

My apologies for starting a new subject. I meant this to go into
the file re: SPCA Volunteers, who I think by the way -
are very special people and deserve alot of thanks.
