    I used this Emergency Clinic about 3 weeks ago when I had a pregnant
    cat go out of labor.  The staff were very gentle and caring when
    handling my cat.  They really seemed to love the animals.  I'll
    go back again if I have another emergency.  Too bad they don't do
    regular veterinary services.

    I wondered if they were the same folks I used for KoKo when her
    face was swollen.  The Dr. we had was really wonderful and caring
    also.  I, too , wouldn't hesitate to go back.
    

    We are a member of the Emergency Animal Center in Acton, but have
    not had to use them yet.  I think it is a pretty good deal if your
    cats are prone to accidents (even if they aren't - accidents DO
    happen).
    
    The deal is you pay $25 to enroll, then whenever you have a pet
    emergency, you bring them to the center in Acton and pay only
    $5 for an office visit, REGARDLESS of whatever they have to do to fix
    them up!
    
    The inital $25 fee gets to TWO emergency visits per year, with only
    the $5 additional office fee (oops, you also pay for perscriptions).
    But you DON'T pay for any shots required, XRAYs, splints, bandages,
    medicine administered while there, IVs, etc.
    
    In addition, when you enroll you fill out the cat's (or any animals)
    medical history and who your regular vet is.  Then if you have to
    use the center, they already have a good background your kitty. 
    
    If you are not a member, you can still go there for emergencies
    (they are one of the FEW places open 24 hours on weekends and
    Holidays), but a non-member visit is $35 each time you walk in the 
    door, plus all the extras you accrue while there (XRAYs, shots....)
                                                                       
    I good idea if you live locally, but I hope I never have to use

    I used the Animal Emergency Care for my dog about 3 months ago.
    I was very impressed with the care we (the dog, my husband and I)
    received. By the time I called my vet the following morning, Emergency
    Care had already alerted them so my vet was ready for us to come
    right in.  This saved a lot of time and hassle.
    
    I believe the $25 enrollment is per animal. I was interested because
    I have a dog and cat. As this is the case with many people, I suspect
    their business couldn't handle $25 per family. I didn't enroll but
    took a brochure from the  display in their waiting area. Perhaps they would
    send you a brochure if you called.

I have used them and was quite satisfied with the service.

The enrollment was $25 per animal when I enrolled last year. 

I will re-enroll my cats this fall.

I have a letter of authority written out for my cat sitter plus instructions
on how to get there.

It requires a health exam by your regular vet.

When you enrolled your cat, did you ever receive any
kind of confirmation from them? I enrolled my dog
last year and never heard a thing. Is that normal?
