I was listening to WBZ on the way to work this morning (for 1.5 hours, but that is another story). Dave Maynard is taking up a collection for a reward to be given to anyone who provides information that leads to the finding of a very sick person. It seems that someone in Boston or the environs took an elderly lady's cat and murdered it. Then that person butchered the cat and left it on the lady's front steps. A number of people are very irate. It seems that we at DEC could contribute to this collection. The deed that was done should anger all cat owners and, actually, anyone who cares about people. That cat was the companion of a sick, elderly lady. I am outraged!!! Can we begin a collection to add to Dave Maynard's? I would contribute $10 at least. Ellen

Great, but how do you make the contribution? Do you have the address at WBZ where it would be sent? Donna | |||||

I know I'm quite a bit late reading this note file but I'm a rather
new VAX notes reader. I heard this same gruesome story on WBZ and
was outraged also. The reason I mention this now is that a few
weeks ago on WBZ a caller asked Dave Maynard if anyone ever found
out who did that to the woman's cat. Dave said nobody was every
found and also, that another cat in the same area (I think it was
Roslindale) had the same thing done to it - all four legs cut off
and it was left on the doorstep of the owner.
I've been hoping to hear that the S.O.B. that did this was found
and I believe in a "leg-for-a-leg" in that person's case!
