Hi,
I have a customer who has V4.0 installed on their V6.1 OpenVMS system
(ALPHA).
They are having a problem with subnet masks that are not byte-aligned. The
messages
broadcast that way are bad and never seen by receivers across the network.
As an example of the failure, they have a node 160.101.95.109 with a subnet
mask of
255.255.255.0. It works fine. If they try to isolate the traffic to the
95-net
by using a subnet mask of 255.255.224.0, it does not work. The same mask
works fine on
their other non-VMS system (HPUX. Is this a problem? Has anyone seen this?
thanks
