Hi, My customer is using UCX V4.1 under OpenVMS v7.1/Alpha and has two IP interfaces defined. He wrote a program using socket API. He calls bind() with sockaddr structure containing one of its IP interface addresses as the value for sin_addr field. Customer claims that no mater what the value is in sin_addr (including wrong IP address) UCX behaves as if INADDR_ANY was entered. Any help will be appreciated. What information leads the customer to believe that it is binding to
INADDR_ANY?

Sorry, there was a misunderstanding on my part. The second paragraph above
should have been as follows:
"Customer claims that no mater what the value is in sin_addr
(including wrong IP address) UCX *does* bind, and doesn't
complain about the address not being correct."
According the customer, Multinet does complain and does not accept a wrong
ip address there.
Again, sorry for the misinformation and looking forward for a comment.
