| I escalated this problem and the fix is certainly in the latest ECO kit. It is
in the release notes but it very cryptic.
Problem:
Line mode does not work properly; the sessions appear to hang.
Solution:
The previously applied optimization has been conditionalized so
as to be used only when in character mode.

Install the latest ECO and I'm sure you'll find it'll fix your problem.

| Cryptic?
1) Linemode doesn't work.
2) The sessions APPEAR to hang.
The session is very much alive and well; there is no hang.
The client and server aren't BOTH speaking linemode, since linemode
is broken.
