When I do ftp from UNIX to my OpenVMS account to copy files, the file, UCX$FTPSERVER.LOG, is created in sys$login. Is there any logical to redirect this file to someplace else (eg sys$scratch) ? I saw somewhere in this note conference to define a system wide logical (ucx$ftpserver) to disable log file, but I cannot do this by myself. Thanks, K. Suruga

| Re .0 Indeed the logfile location can be redirected to another place. As far as I know this can either be done on a system wide basis, or you could define this logical in the group logical name table to do this for specific groups. I know of no way to do this for one specific user only. >but I cannot do this by myself. What do you mean by this? What is the problem you are trying to solve? Regards, Oswald | |||||

| >>but I cannot do this by myself. > >What do you mean by this? >What is the problem you are trying to solve? I don't have system privilege of the system I am using, so I cannot do this by myself. This is the reason I asked about the user level logical. Seem to me this kind of logical should be available for system, group and user level. Thanks anyway, K. Suruga | |||||
