5327.0. "DISABLE UCX PORTS" by TAEC::GRANDIN () Mon Mar 10 1997 15:57
Hi,
We have an application which is requesting data from an SNMP agent.
The requests are sent to port 161 which is the standard SNMP agent
port. The response port, which ucx has supplied with the message,
goes to one of the ports between 1024 and 5000. This is the standard
if you define port 0 in the application.
The problem is that there is a customers application which is broadcasting
to one port in the range 1024 - 5000 and we receive sometimes their
messages instead of the SNMP data.
Is there any way to tell UCX to disable certain ports?
Or maybe there is a way to use an application X which uses a certain
port number which would force UCX to skip that port.
Thanks,
Erik Grandin
