| 730.2 | hey, what's a year among friends.... | BROKE::ABUGOV | Thu Jun 20 1996 09:22 | 10 | |
Well, a year later for resolution isn't bad. We recently had the same
problem reported, only in this case we got to look at for long enough
to resolve it. The fix will be in DBI7. The problem occurs when table
names and table ids (which for gateways get determined at run time) are
hashed to the same location for the same table. The strange thing is
that typically only the all_db_links table in Oracle has this problem -
our hashing algorithm must have a problem with that value.

| 730.3 | Was this fixed AFTER T7.0-0??? | BROKE::BASTINE | Thu Mar 27 1997 13:34 | 13 | |
Dan,
I have another customer complaining about this problem, however, they
are running T7.0-0, was this problem fixed in a later field test version?
We have sent the customer the released v7.0 version, but wanted to see if
this could be the same problem. Was this problem still around in the early
ft versions of 7.0?
Thanks,
Renee

| 730.4 | Fixed in June... | BROKE::ABUGOV | Thu Mar 27 1997 14:28 | 7 | |
Hi Renee,
I believe we shipped the first FT in April, so yes, if it was fixed in
June it was not in the first field test.
