reviving an old note...
what is the standard time before the wedding to put in an engagement
announcement?? the papers want it as least a month before, but all the
announcements i have seen are for weddings taking place within about 9
months. i have just over a year to go and am antsy to get it in
there!!!! :>

I know the feeling!!!! Most of the announcements I have been seeing
have also been 9 months plus inadvance. I got engaged in November of 96
and the wedding is in November of 97 I wanted to put our announcement
right away, my mother told me to wait a bit so I did. Now with just 5
months to go she is asking me when are you going to put your announcement
in? I hope to get it done in the next 2 weeks. We shall see
