    Carlos,

    I can't STAND that singer! His high pitched screaming/(or is it
    whining!) ;-) does nothing for me. It sounded good in the beginning of
    the song but once Dani started his ranting I said "Next!". And this is
    from Dijtb...III also. Don't care for 'em. Not my cup of tea as it is.
    I wanna hear Septic Flesh, Winter, Mortiis, and maybe Dimmi Borjor(sp)
    for some death/doom/black metal.

| 1232.2 | Clean sounding CD, though | KAOFS::C_MENENDEZ | CARLOS, SOO ONT MCS (705)945-7862 | Mon May 12 1997 11:26 | 16 |
|  |     	Mike:

    	I don't mind Doni's vocals (I think that's the singer's name). What
    I liked was the absolutely awesome sound on the CD. On some of these
    black metal CDs the sound is usually lacking punch, but not on this CD.
    I don't know too much about recording or what exactly a producer does,
    but I found the sound very clean, which is nice because you can play it
    very loud without obvious distortion. In contrast, the Ulver CD I got
    has some severe distortion on the guitars, I'm sure by design.

    	I loved the covers, though. I like these type of covers better than
    the usual DM cover, although this could be quite offensive for some
    people. I try to keep an open mind on what these people try to bring
    across without letting it get to me.

| 1232.3 | 'vocals' are a problem for me | AXPLAB::VLASIU | Sorin Vlasiu - Brussels, Belgium | Tue May 13 1997 03:52 | 4 |
| | I have also tried to listen CoF once, but the 'vocals' (screaming) are
    too much for me. However I remember the instrumental part was better.

| 1232.4 | Try the second one | KAOFS::C_MENENDEZ | CARLOS, SOO ONT MCS (705)945-7862 | Tue May 13 1997 10:12 | 5 |
| | If you didn't like the vocals on the first one, then give Vempire
    a try. There is a lot more guttural stuff there. but the music IMO is
    awesome.
