    I couldn't find anything on GODFLESH so i thought i'd start one up.
    
    For those of you who don't know Godflesh are Justin Broadrick (ex
    Napalm Death, ex-Head of David) and 'Benny' Green (ex-main). Where
    Napalm Death were a grindcore/thrash band, Godflesh is a more
    Industrial band.
    
    They've released four lps and have a fifth one out soon.
    
    They keep on crossing genres with their music. Their mini-lp
    'Slavestate' had these very intense guitar,bass and drums sounds with
    techno samples.
    
    They are known as thinking mens Heavy Metal and are a superb live band.
    
    My fave. Godflesh songs are:
    
    Slavestate (from the slavestate mini-lp)
    Rats (from the lp 'streetcleaner')
    Pure (from the lp 'pure'
    Pure II (from the CD version of 'Pure')
    and Streetcleaner II (from the cd only version of 'Godflesh')
    
    They are on Earache records in the UK and Sony/Columbia (i think) in the
    US .
    
    If you like very hard intense music then i think Godflesh might
    interest you.

	I've got "Pure". It got pretty heavy rotation at first...haven't listened to it in over a year probably. Industrial is a good description.

	"Pure" is a pretty cool lp. I think 'spite' is such an excellent start to the lp. Have you got the album on cd? The CD's got a 22 minute extra song called "PURE II", it's pretty mad. mike
