Haven`t managed to see them live but I`ve seen various members of the
band in their previous bands.Have they got an album out yet??If they
have is it any good?.I`ve caught a few of their videos and thought
they were o.k.There`s one filmed on stage I saw on MTV and I saw a,think its
Phonogram(or whatever their company is)demo of them playing in a
scrapyard.Who`s the MTV presenter that RD is supposed to be going out
with??.She`s in the "scrapyard" video.She looks pretty nice,can`t wait
to see her playing pool in the back-room of the Bucks Head!!!!!!!!!

| Doogz ma man,the album has been out for a couple of months and is damn
fine.They were on the power hour last friday giving a short interview
and a clip or two of their vids,powerful stuff!If you want I'll drop a
tape of it off at your desk....what shift are you on?
Is the stags head a prestige drinking establishment or is it
gumshield and matching crash helmet????

I heard part of "She Destroys Me" on an MTV commercial, and
these guys sound like they could crank out a mean album. I
wouldn't mind getting it to try it out.

| the almighty were pretty hacked off at not being able to play the
george square bash last week.it seems they did not fit into the
organisers required squeaky clean image,ie'nancy boy bands like wet,wet
p##h and other bands with silly pudin'bowl haircuts.
as the guitarist stated,"maybee it's because we can play our
instruments"

| re-last.yes if it fits in with this mad shift pattern.i'm sure you
agree glasgow needs more bands like the almighty.
another wee question?have you checked out anaconda?they sometimes play
the solid rock cafe in hope street,a good rockin' band.they done a
session for tommy vance a couple of years ago,the band are selling this
on tape,a worthwhile purchase.

Looks like I wont be able to make any of the gigs as I think when they
play Glasgow I`m working and when they play Edinburgh I`m off to see
the Stones at Hampden.(Yes,before you start the jokes,it is the first
time I`ve been to Hampden this year Jim !!!!!!!!)
The band got a pile of cash to buy new gear with so Stumpy sold his
old kit to my mate for �200,not bad eh.What a nice bunch of guys.Have
just realised that the girl who manages them used to manage a band I
worked for when I was a roadie.Wish I`d stuck at it now!!!!!
I`ve actually STILL to check out the album but have heard it`s just
like Zodiac Mindwarp but not so "tongue in cheek".

Polydor on March 18th. It was produced by Andy Taylor.

FYI, The Andy Taylor who is producing the Almighty's album (and did the
Thunder album) is none other than the ex-guitar player for New-Romantic
teenybopper band Duran Duran.

| The Almighty are shooting a video at the London Town and Country club
on April 4th at 5.30pm. They'd like as many fans as possible to
attend. Admission is free and the band will play a live set as well as
shooting the video.

| I just picked up 'Soul Destruction' in my local CD library, having
previously acquired Blood, Fire and Love. Well I liked the former
quite a lot, and play it pretty regularly in the car (being the only
place I am allowed to play my music). But this new album is seriously
brilliant! The first track is a bit Motorheadish and quite offputting
at first, but it sets the stage for the rest of the album.
Their are 12 tracks in total, with a playing time of around 56 mins.
Unfortunately I don't have the track list with me while putting in this
review, but suffice to say the whole album rips.
This is definitely one I will be acquiring for my permanent collection.
Only criticism is the cover art on the album, it is a bit passe'.
Play this at level 10 only and give the neighbours a treat!

surprise, cause this band rocks and makes all the bands from South of

| I think was not long released in the US,while in the wonderful place
that Doogz,Bonzo and I live(Scotland)it has been out for a year.
The guitarist has left the band.I'm not sure if he was pushed or
left on his own account but the replacement is the guitarist that
played with Alice Cooper called Pete Freezin'(or something like that).
They met when the Almighty supported Alice on the last tour!

What does anyone think of the Almighty's new album?
I bought it for there live Donnington tracks, on the whole it's not bad
but not as good as i thought it would be.

| I saw these guys play Glasgow about 3 weeks ago(I've been sick)and they

Saw 'em at Milton Keynes bowl ealier this year supporting Metallica,
didn't reckon much to 'em. Pity I haven't seen them on their own
stage, 'cos I've heard they can be good.
My first note in here in years and I'm slagging off some guys you lot
think are great; sorry! I'm outta here for tonight, so I'll read the
frying you'll no doubt give me 'til tomorrow!
