This solo albums came out under the "Electric Sun" band name.
I know 3 of them but I don't remember their titles. Very Hendrix inspired.
Ulrich Roth is excelent on Tokyo Tapes, he makes his guitar really sound like
a wild animal (check "we'll burn the sky")

- Electric sun (I think)
- Fire Wind
- ?
More research needed to find the latest one. I think it was auto-produced and
it cost him alot of money. He had some problems.

Electric Sun was the album I was refering to in the MSG note..
Not being a great hendrix fan I found it a bit too weird for
me but that doesn't take away the fact the he is/was an excellent
guitarist.

| Has he been touring at all lately? I remember when he toured for the
first solo album (Electric Sun, I think). He was playing some *really*
small venues and not even selling them out. I had a chance to go see
him, but something came up and I didn't.
I wouldn't mind seeing him now. Even though I've never heard any of
his solo work, I really enjoyed his work with the early Scorpions. (I
also like Hendrix quite a lot...)

I think Ulrich was the bast guitarist the SCORPS ever had
he just makes his guitar sing. He is just mind blowing.

Electric sun's third album was called "Beyond the Astral Skies" I've
got it, and after some thourough listening to, I finally got the hang
of his unique musical style. Uli definetely is a very talented
musician, and it's good to see that others out there can really
appreciate his music the way I do. good listening

I heard that Uli has been, in recent times, touring
across parts of Europe in support of a new recording
complete with orchestra on tap. Sorry for lack of info
here, I picked up some music talk out at the 99 last week.
The orchestra/rock thing still in vogue?
