Anyone heard a band called SLIDE?
I have been told that they are from Glasgow, but thats all I know
about them so far. I have heard the album, very melodic and definately
wont appeal to the hard line thrashers out there, but I would love
to find out more...
Any ideas Tom....

I've heard the single Bonzo and I agree very melodic, but can't
say much more.
They seem to be gigging extensively around the UK recently, most
noticeably as support to GUN, who I know a bit more about having
bought the album.
I have a feeling that GUN and SLIDE wont be too dissimilar in attitude/
style of music etc..etc..
One other point about SLIDE. If publicity counts for anything, then
they should do pretty well as the W. of Scotland music stores have
been ramping up the albums' virtues by the way of large Promo posters
etc.
Whaddya think Bonzo - SLIDE == GUN ?

I saw SLIDE play(they were supporting the RIVER DECTIVES)SLIDE were
really good solid R'n'R worth listening to,while the RIVER DECTIVES
were crap and depressing.
