They started off as a real life piss take of HM but
some record producer herd, liked and produced (with better words)
a real good English rock band.

The band has a real tallent but weird names like:-

                   flymo killer(or something)
                   strimmer deth
and any other lawnmowa names you can think of

    Does this enlighten you more

O.K. Mr. Naylor, get your facts straight.

Lawnmower Deth started out as a "serious" band, but they
had one dissadvantage, they couldn't play!! So they started to
take the p*ss out of the music and learnt to play. Over the last
eighteen months they've done quite well, loadsa gigs across Blighty
and a demo tape (Mowdeer) that's sold over five hundred copies.
Now they've a record deal and the first one will be a split
L.P. with Metal Duck (nothing to do with me). This is music
described best as KickGrass Rock'n'Roll. The best I've heard
from them are : Watch out grandma, here comes a Lawnmower; and
    Assassinate Geldoff.

    He knows you know,
    		The MoshamowerDuck.

Well, I would say that English metal bands are definitely
ahead of the US when it comes to screwed up names.

| 271.8 | Ooh crikey it's ... | KETJE::VLASIU |  | Mon Mar 25 1991 04:16 | 13 |
| | I listened this weekend their last album, named "Ooh crikey it's ...".
I was curious because they received good critics in Metal Hammer. Well,
it's some kind of comical thrash which proves enough fantasy and humor
but when it comes to pure playing it's nothing more than flat thrash. I
was amused from time to time but I was also quickly bored. On CD you
have 32 tracks of which the first 25 are the album itself and the last
7 are recorded live. The live part is also amusing but it shows also a
quite weak performance. I have to listen more because maybe I was not
in a good mood to appreciate it. I recommend it more as a curiosity
(there are mixings with movie soundtracks also).

    Sorin
PS. Could someone change the topic title to "Lawnmower Deth".
