| | I saw faster Pussycat at City aud with Frehley's Comet, and Y &
    T. It wuz the foist time I ever heard them and they sounded pretty
good, pretty raw but good none the less. I thought they kicked mild
butt (can't say a$$ cuz the moderators might delete me). Actually
I think the were good, I don't remember too well cuz I wuz pretty
trashed. The guitar sounded good and their singer screached most
of there stuff and yeh, they were a mild surprise.

| | Tony,

If you are into that sleaze/glam/trash stuff, have I got the band
for you!! Have you ever heard any of Hanoi Rocks' stuff? They
aren't together anymore, but they have tons of albums, all worth
    a listen.

A lot of people don't go for that kind of music, but I do, and Hanoi
Rocks is where it's at. Their last album before they broke up (Razzle,
their drummer was killed a couple of years ago in a crash with Vince
Neil) wasn't quite as heavy hitting as the others, more commercial,
    I think.

    Try it, you'll like it.

I'd rather listen to reggae. I don't think these
bands came from L.A. I think they crawled out
from under some rocks and decided that they could
make a fair amount of noise with the possibility
that a bit of melody just might be found therin,
                and then moved to L.A.

                Shoot them all . . .

                Guns and Roses - ugh . . .

I reckon one of the biggest influences on the sleeze bands has to
    be Aerosmith.

Great band! Too bad they self-destructed before their time had come.
I saw them at the Paradise on a Sat. afternoon show, about 2 weeks
    before Razzle died. Great!

    re: Faster Pussycat

Much better live than on record. Also better in a club than in an
arena. Stones and Aerosmith are their big influences.

Oops, gotta go. System goes down at 12:00. More comments later.

Out of the sleeze bands which are your favourite and which album/s.

I would think the most popular would be GnR, Appetite for Destruction
but I could be wrong. (Thats mine anyway).

What about Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction. I guess they
could be classified as sleezy. Anybody got their album "Tattoo
    Beat Messiah" ??

Yeah, sleaze. That's one of the reasons I loved Motley Crue. They
are still sleazy, but have been growing up lately, now that even
    Vince is getting/is married.
I saw 'Love Reaction open up for Guns n Roses at the Orpheum
this year. All I can remember from them is a wall of noise.
I couldn't get into their music too much, but after seeing their
video, they are the scummiest looking band I've ever seen.

    Boys, boys, boys.

Diversity makes the world go around. Some like sleazy bands, some
don't. Personally, I do, but that doesn't make me hate thrash/speed
    metal any less.

for you Harley fans, there are lots of cool old bikes in this one.
