Help needed with wiring crossover. Cross posted in AUDIO.
Hi, Can anyone help in identifying the leads in the crossover circuit below?
They came out of some old speakers and I didn't label them.
The original configuration was: 1 12" woofer
1 10" woofer
1 4" midrange
1 2" dome tweeter
Here is what I have: -------
| small |--------#6
(+) = positive lead | coil | (+)
(-) = negative lead -------
/
/ ----------
-------------- / | large |-----#5
---|15uf 50v |-------| coil | (-)
#1 (+) |-----------| / |_____________ ----------
-------|transformer| / _____________
#7 (+) |-----------|---------.------|capacitor 1|
/ | 250vdc |-------#3
/ ------------- (+)
/
#2 (+)
note: #5 contain ALL of the (-) leads.
Also, where would I tap in to connect the input from the speaker cables?
Thanks! chUck

My guess would be:
12" woofer #5
10" woofer #6
4" midrange #2
2" dome tweeter #3
Coils - inductors to filter out high frequencies, and bigger is
more filtering
Cap - capacitor to filter out low frequencies

Hi Shawn,
The only problem is that #5, from the larger coil, has 4
negative leads, which makes me think the all of the driver's (-)
were connected to this point.
How about : #1 12" woofer (very low pass)
#2 (+) input from speaker terminal
#3 High pass for tweeter
#6 Mid range
#5 I haven't an idea, since it's 4 (-) leads.....

Oops, that blows that theory to hell.
