Would anyone care to venture what a 1963 Gibson Model J45ADJ selling
price range should be??? No,,, I am not selling,,, I am looking to
buy. This quitar has a cracked bridge and the stock adjustable saddle
has been removed and replaced with a pickup. I has numerous dings and
scratches but basically very structurally sound (except for the bridge).
    No original case. Any opinions???

    Thanks in advance

If this guitar were mint and included the original case, it would
be worth around $800. The absence of a case, and the cosmetic wear
will knock at least $200 off this price, bringing it to about $600.

The adjustable bridge saddle on these is the weak link and many
people end up replacing it with a solid fixed bridge. The bridge
replacement generally costs about $60 to have done by a luthier.

So, if I were looking for one of these, I would be offering about
    $550 to $600.

BTW, a friend of mine recently traded one of these into a Boston-
area music store. It was a nice guitar and I would have bought it
from him if I had the bucks!
