Can anybody tell me if there is any useful info in these 3000+
files on replacement necks for strats? Besides note 39, I can anybody
    refer me elsewhere?
I have an 81 fifties re-issue and the maple neck is toast. I love
the neck on it but also fell in love with a rosewood Jazzmaster I fell
upon at the local shop. Can you buy a neck from fender??? Is there
    anyboby who manufactures replicas?

| Yes, you can buy replacement necks from Fender. Contact your local
    Fender dealer.

As a pricey alternative, Elliot Mechanic makes what some consider to be
the finest replica vintage Fender necks around. He has several Strat
styles, intended to duplicate specific years ('54, '57, etc.) These
run $250, but as I said they are supposedly the best. Contact

| There's some info in note 319.

Stewart MacDonald sells replacement necks. They should be
significantly cheaper than Fender (but no Fender logo...).

I'm sure Stewart Mac's number is in here somewhere. Or you can find
them in the back of Guitar Player.

    Good luck,
    Jim

| Note that I don't think Fender will sell you a neck with a logo on it
either. You can buy the actual vintage re-issue neck, but the
headstock will be blank. This is to discourage Fender forgery I guess.

The good news is that you can find stunningly accurate counterfeit (and
probably NOS as well) logo decals if you want one. Check the classifieds
    of guitar mags for starters.
