I was watching the Ellen DeGeneres show ('These Friends of Mine') on TV
the other night, and I was really delighted by the background music,
which is mostly fretless bass and percussion. It doesn't sound sampled,
and if it's real, this person has beautiful technique using
double-stops. The style sounds a bit like (Mark ?) Egan from Elements,
or what I remember Michael Manring sounding like several years ago.
I didn't catch the credits. Anyone know ?

It seems that many of the great ensemble-cast sitcoms have killer
bass lines incorportated... great bass .eqs. great show????
Barney Miller, Night Court, Seinfeld, Northern Exposure ...
I know there are a bunch more, I just can't access that particular
brain cell at the moment ...

hey, what about the great bass AND guitar in the theme to
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers? Japanese monster-movie metal!
Can't watch more than 6 seconds of the show, though.

Yeah it sure would be nice to get a gig doing Mike posts music playing
his guitar parts. He's one of the hjottest composer players for prime
time tv shows and movies. Although he's a keyboard player he always
scores in TASTEy guitar. Ands what about all that over-driven slide
work in commercials these days.
Sorry dont have the bas players name from your show.
Oh just remembered a teen show from about 15 years ago called 'Hot
Hero Sandwich" It had a really catchy, funky rock theme. Luckily I
caught it on tape and still have it!
