What is the difference between these 2 guitars? Is there a difference
in the quality of the electronics used in one, as opposed to the other?
If you had a choice, which one would you pick?

| Hamer is US made, ESP is Japanese.

Hamer started off mostly building guitars based on classic Gibson
designs. Now they offer a range of Fenderish styles as well.

ESP never got into Gibson style guitars as far as I know.

You really can not make a comparison on paper. Go to a shop and try them. In general both Hamer and ESP make good quality guitars, so a decision can only be made by actually playing them yourself.
