Driving home from work yesterday, listening to CD-96.9, Boston's
Smooth Jazz, I heard a song on the radio that I had never heard
before. Within seconds, I was sure that some new Larry Carlton
material had just hit the streets. A few minutes into the song, I
was thinking about stopping at a local music store to see what
Larry's new release was all about.
The song ended and the DJ quickly said "Believe it or not, but
thats *NOT* Larry Carlton". It was a guy named Michael Dowble (not
sure of the spelling but its pronounced "Dow-bel") from Los Angles
with a tune called "La La Land".
Has anyone ever heard of this guy before? I'm heading out to buy
the CD on my way home from work today. I'll post a review after
hearing the rest.

I listen to 'CDJ occasionally and caught one DJ talking about
"Dow-bel", and saying that it was sometimes pronounced "Double",
who had a smooth sounding T40 hit called "The Captain Of Her Heart"...

I caught 'CDJ talking about this guy again last night. Seems my .1
was off the mark. They pronounced it "Dow-dil"...
