I talked to a fellow yesterday at PEARL (in Calgary, Alberta) who claimed to have some input in the next generation (redesign) of the KT90 tube from Yugoslavia (Europe anyway). I asked what it needed and he said it had too much distortion! So, all of us guitar tube-amp guys (and gals) better buy the current stuff (who wants less distortion anyway)... mark

| After working with KT90s in Guitar amps, I find they do not distort
any more/less then 6550's. They are talking about grid input
distortion, which is NOT musicial in any terms.

AND, and re-design of the KT90 is YEARS away, but will include a larger
    base cap.
