If it was, I think I have the music at home someplace.

| | Nope
"Cry Baby" is on Pearl,( with the Full Tilt Boogie Band).
    The lyrics run like this:
    Bye
    Bye- Baby, Bye bye
I may be seeing you around
When I change my living standard
    And I move up town...

    Thanks anyway
                 Jim

| | Yes!!! I happend to have figured out the chords and leads to that
tune, front to back, for my student who LOVES the song. He has
it in writing, and I'll be glad to touch it up and mail it to ya.
I could also type it into this conference, but right now I can't
remember anything except it's in key of "B". I had never heard
the tune before the night I learned it, now I really like it.
would you prefer i write the chord changes "over" the lyrics?
Give me a call at 354-3359, or raven1::dandrea

Hey Steve,
I don't think that will be allowed, because of copyright violations. But could
you add me to that distribution - I have been dying for my band to cover that
song, but since I don't have the record, I can only go by memory. The music
would help immensely!

    Alan,
were you serious about the copyright thing? I was gonna type the
words and chords into a reply....

I'll send ya a cassette as well if needed.

| 1442.7 | Copyright violation, you betcha. | CSC32::G_HOUSE | I'm trapped | Thu Aug 31 1989 14:07 | 9 |
| | Yeah, Steve, Alan's serious. It's a copyright violation to publish
more then a fragment of the lyrics to a song. Posting them in one of
our notesfiles constitutes publishing them. It's a violation of our
corporate policy since Digital could be liable for you using their
    equipment to publish copyrighted material.

Better to keep it out of notes.

Ok to "publish" words/music in VAXMAIL with limited distribution?
Let me know ASAP, I'm gonna try and get started tomorrow....

    Thanks,

| | I *think* that's ok. Seems to be done pretty often...

I think that Dave Blickstein would probably know. I seem to remember
that he did some research on this awhile back.

Strictly speaking, it's probably illegal. After all, a copy is a copy.
And this certainly doesn't meet the criteria for fair use.

didn't want everyone thinking I had dissappeared into the fog. I'll

| | Ok lads, line up....I've got the cassette and the notes from the
session where I first heard and learned 'baby blue' by Badfinger.
I'm planning on polishing up my notes, and 'publishing' via vaxmail
the lyrics with chords and the various 'picking runs' that turnaround
and connect some of the chord changes.

Let me know WHO would like a copy via vaxmail, please.

Count me in for Badfinger. After all it's MY stinking tape!
That damn scratchy record cost $30 at a record show. I told
the guy I only wanted to learn how to play a song not bronze
    	it.

| | We MUST credit Pat 'rocket' Blair for the availability of the
chords/lyrics. According to the info from everyone who wants the
music to this tune, he is the only living human (besides the thief
that sold him the album) that actually has a recording of the song!!
AND, if Pat hadn't beaten me into submission to learn the chords
and leads, we might be still wondering how to play Baby Blue.

    Thanks, Pat
