Irecently got a set for my son after doing some research and found that
an addition to the Tama Rockstar and Pearl Export would be the Yamaha
STage Custom in the $750 to $800 price range for a "standard" size 5-
piece set (22 B, 12 &13 TTs, 14 x 6 1/2 chrome snare inc. HW. My son's
teacher, a tudent himself of Joe Morello seems to, like other
drummers I've spoken to, favor the Yamahas. I'm a guitar player not a
drummer but they look REALLY nice and seem well made....
"cymbals are optional" (I splurged and got A-Zildijians...I don't think
I'll be sorry!!!!)
Regards,
Barry
